They may play an ‘old’ married couple on Home and Away but in real life, Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart are still in the honeymoon phase of their off-screen romance!
The couple were recently spotted running errands around Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs accompanied by James’ daughter Scout. The statuesque 12-year-old seemed totally at ease with her dad’s new love.
“They were chatting and sharing a few laughs together,” one onlooker told New Idea. “They seemed so comfortable and happy. It was lovely.”
It emerged that Ada and James, who play Summer Bay couple Leah and Justin, had become an item for real in April. They were spotted sharing a lingering kiss after an outing together on the Anzac Day public holiday.
At the time, a source told New Idea the pair “had been on a few dates recently”. The source also confirmed Ada had split from her ex-partner, Adam Rigby, just before Christmas in 2023.
Meanwhile, James’ four-year marriage to Sarah Roberts also quietly ended last year, with their divorce finalised in March this year.
In addition to their recent shopping date, New Idea has learnt that Ada, 46, and James, 48, have been talking about moving in with one another.
On top of that, there are whispers they might be “hard-launching” their relationship at the upcoming TV Week Logie Awards. The ceremony will be held in Sydney on August 18.
“Ada especially loves this event. Going together would be the perfect way to very publicly announce that they are a couple,” a TV insider tells New Idea.
Ada took her ex Adam to the event in 2018 – which was their first official outing as a then-couple also!
Away from the red carpet however, a source tells New Idea that Ada and James are enjoying spending time with their kids.
Ada’s son Johnas, 11, has met Scout, James’ daughter with ex Jessica Marais, with the blended family recently spotted enjoying a day out at Sydney’s Luna Park.
Our source adds that things are getting increasingly serious between James and Ada. “They’re very, happy,” our insider says.
Clearly, they really do belong together!
