PINEAPPLE

Is there anything worse than a super tart pineapple? Either it’s not ripe yet ORRRR it could be that the natural sugars have settled at the bottom of the pineapple!

We’ve got you covered! Next time pineapple is on the menu, slice off the leaves and turn the fruit upside down on the counter for an hour before slicing.

This enables the sugar to be evenly distributed throughout the entire pineapple. Delish!

APPLE

Keeping sliced apples from browning in your kid’s lunchbox is as simple as a rubber band!

Hold the apple together while slicing (using an apple slicer works best), then secure the rubber band around it to hold it together. The cut edges will stay on the inside, therefore, will remain fresh until its time to eat.

MANGO

One of the worst parts about eating a mango is leaving wayyyy too much fruit on the skin (as it can be so hard to peel!) Not wanting to waste any of that goodness, use the edge of a glass to separate the fruit from the peel.

You simply place the rim where the skin meets the fruit, and push the mango down the side of the glass. The skin peels off in one piece. It’s as simple as that.

If you find your mango tastes too acidic, place it in warm (not hot) water for ten minutes. This will speed up the process of its starches turning into sugars, and it will be sweet in no time!

Just make sure not to leave it in the water for more than ten minutes, as it might begin to shrivel.
