How long do cooked sausage last in the fridge?

And the varieties you need to know

Q: How long do cooked sausage last in the fridge?

A: If stored correctly, cooked sausages will last for up to four days in the fridge. To keep them nice and fresh store them in an airtight container and be sure to refrigerate them within two hours of cooking. Sausages can be simply pan-fried or cooked in a marinade or tray bake before storing them in the fridge. Just be sure to keep any air out for the freshest dish.

The same fridge rules apply for Cumberland and Bratwurst sausages but when it comes to Spanish chorizo which is cured, it can be stored in the fridge for up to six weeks.

How long can you store uncooked sausages in the fridge?

Uncooked sausages should be stored in the coldest part of your fridge and should be used within two days of purchasing. If you can’t use the sausages within the safe time frames you can pop them in the freezer uncooked for up to two months and cooked for three months.Looking to freeze other foods, check out our ultimate freezer guide
