Love KFC Popcorn Chicken … but don’t love the calories? Well one Aussie mum has come up with just the thing for you!Sharing on Facebook, the savvy home chef uses just TWO ingredients and her trusty Kmart air fryer to whip up the treat … with almost zero fat.
That’s right! Using chicken pieces coated in Nice N’ Last Kentucky Chicken Seasoning from Coles, the mum was able to recreate the KFC classic with no fuss and in no time!
Sharing a pic of the treats, the mum wrote: ‘They got devoured and kids said they’re better than KFC chicken with bugger all fat. Verdict – YUM.’
Revealing her method for whipping up the 2-ingredient treats, the mums says she cut the chicken breast into smaller pieces and coated them in the seasoning – available from Coles for $4.71.
After leaving the chicken pieces to rest, she then placed them in the coating for a second time and gave them a quick spray of oil.The chook pieces were then placed in the Kmart air fryer and cooked for 12 to 15 minutes – stopping halfway through to shake the chicken pieces and spray a little more with oil.Not surprisingly, the 2-ingredient meal was applauded by other Facebook members.’I’ve seen so many put up chicken with this seasoning lately – they all look so good!’ said one.Love it!Main image: Facebook
