This Aussie mum’s caramel slice is the most talked-about in Australia. But can you see why?

Who doesn’t love a good caramel slice? A yummy, biscuity base with a gooey caramel layer – and then topped with delicious chocolate. YUM.But while we’ve all got our own favourite recipe – our top one is here! – it seems there’s one caramel slice that constantly being talked about by mums around Australia, for a one very special reason.

Em from That Organised Mum often posts pics of her cracker caramel slice on her Instagram page – attracting thousands of likes and comments. 

‘This is my favourite caramel slice ever,’ wrote one follower. Said another: ‘OMG, your caramel slice is the best ever!’ 

And there’s one thing that people notice more than anything – that thick, smooth and delicious chocolate layer.Says one social media user: ‘What do you do to the chocolate to make it look so smooth?’ said one. Added another: ‘I can never get my chocolate to look that smooth and thick – how do you do it?’Said a third: ‘How do you get it so that the chocolate doesn’t crack?!’ And one more: ‘Oh my god, that caramel:biscuit:chocolate ratio…salivating here.’
