They’re two of the most iconic TV characters Australia has known – and so fans of the hit show Neighbours were in for a treat when Madge and Harold reunited for a UK show.
Actors Anne Charleston and Ian Smith appeared on ITV show Loose Women on Thursday – where they appeared via live satellite link from Dr Carl’s café.
‘It’s so good to see you together,’ host Nadia Sawalha said as the on-screen couple appeared on the screen.
Talking about the prospect of a return to Neighbours, neither Anne nor Ian ruled it out.
‘It’s manners to wait until you’re asked!’ Ian said – although Anne may find it tricky to return – given that she was killed off.
‘Well I can’t because they’ve buried me,’ she laughed.
Meanwhile, they aren’t the only two screen legends getting together.
Home and Away’s Alf Stewart – played by TV verteran Ray Meagher – reunited with on screen wife Ailsa – played by Judy Nunn.
The pair enjoyed a get-together with fellow Home and Away actor Emily Symons.
‘Two of my most favourite people ever,’ Emily gushed, sharing a snap of the there of them to Instagram.
‘Love and miss you Jude #alfandailsa #judynunn,’ she added.
