Princes William and Harry have secretly ordered a new investigation into their mother’s death that will focus specifically on the Mercedes Benz S280’s brakes, according to a sensational report out of the US today.
An investigation by Globe magazine has allegedly located the wreckage, which was mangled beyond recognition after the fiery crash in a Paris tunnel on August 31, 1997. The accident immediately killed Diana’s boyfriend Dodi Fayed and later claimed Diana’s life when she succumbed to her injuries.
The magazine bizarrely claims the car is hidden away in England, “where British officials acting on [Prince] Charles’s orders have had the wreck under guard” since the crash.
The car’s rightful owner, Etoile Limousines’ Jean-Francois Musa, has been trying to get the Mercedes back for almost two decades, telling Globe, ‘it’s legally mine!’.
According to the publication, investigators have uncovered so-called ‘proof’ that the vehicle’s brakes were tampered with – and that a panicked Charles, who fears backlash over renewed murder claims – is said to be desperately trying to have the car destroyed once and for all. The publication offers no proof of the claims.
It doesn’t help matters that Diana’s now-adult sons have suspicions of their own, despite a 2008 London inquest ruling that Diana and Dodi died because of “grossly negligent” driving by their chauffeur Henri Paul, who was also killed on impact. Prince Harry is on the record as saying it’s likely we will never know the full truth surrounding his mother’s passing.
‘William and Harry plan to expose the massive cover up in upcoming legal proceedings,’ the publication sensationally claims.
There has been no comment from the Palace on Globe‘s allegations, which follow years of elaborate conspiracy theories alleging various figures – often shadowy government forces – supposedly wanted Di killed because she had become a loose cannon.
