After being unceremoniously fired from the Today show after a 15-year stint on the program, Peter Stefanovic is ready to find a new job.
Stefanovic, 37, decided to put himself out there by posting an advertisement for work on Social Diary, an online media newsletter.
The journalist and television presenter shared his profile, which stated that the former Weekend Today presenter is “now available for any upcoming relevant opportunities”.
The message, which was posted by Peter’s management, details the successful journalists’ achievements alongside a smiling picture, beginning with, “Peter Stefanovic has been on the ground for many of the world’s most recent historic events.’
The advertisement comes after it was announced that Peter, along with his brother Karl Stefanovic, 44, would not be returning to Channel Nine in the new year. According to The Daily Mail, Peter’s wife Sylvia Jeffreys also lost her role on the show but remains contracted with Channel Nine.
The network took drastic measures last year after the breakfast program suffered horror ratings by firing Karl Stefanovic whilst he was in his honeymoon with new wife Jasmine Yarbrough, and replacing Today’s hosts with a brand new panel.
However, the new hosts Brooke Boney, Tony Jones, Deb Knight, Georgie Gardner, and Tom Steinfort, have not had the desired effect for Nine, after their debut show left a sour taste in viewers mouths and sparked a plethora of brutal comments on Facebook.
