It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for ill-matched couple Sam and Elizabeth on Married At First Sight.
From blatant body shaming to a honeymoon that never happened, it’s safe to say it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the hunky tradie and vivacious store manager.
And after yet another blazing row at the MAFS‘ dinner party, viewers were betting they would be the first duo to opt out of the social experiment on Sunday night’s commitment ceremony.
But while part-time model Sam wanted to walk, 28-year-old Lizzie shocked viewers by choosing to stay for another week telling experts she was committed to working through their issues.
Speaking to 9Honey the bubbly blonde said: ‘The a**hole owes me a week, even if I was to give him a hell of a week.’
‘I don’t care if I don’t like him and I don’t care if he doesn’t like me – you’re giving me that mate.’
As if in answer to her wishes, MAFS’ experts introduced another challenge for the newlyweds – Yes Week – which gave Elizabeth total control of the relationship with Sam under strict instruction to do whatever his TV bride asks.
And true to her word, Lizzie’s first order gave her sweet revenge on her runaway groom.
Sam was forced to sit in the house for 24 hours without access to television or any form of entertainment.
