But despite landing the coveted role of “pink carpet” correspondent, the 27-year-old has revealed she was refused entry when she arrived at Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday.
Speaking during a live cross on Studio 10, Georgia told co-host Kerri-Anne Kennerley she was apparently snubbed by officials and “wasn’t allowed through the gates”.
When Kerri-Anne described how many of the celebs had opted to arrive in style in an Uber helicopter, Georgia said her entrance wasn’t as grand.
‘I came in a taxi this morning and wasn’t allowed through the gates… so I ran about five kilometres,” Georgia told Kerri-Anne.
‘This is why I am up and about early in the morning!’
The brunette beauty then complimented Kerri-Anne’s oversized reflective glasses, saying: “I am just going to check my makeup in your glasses!”
She added: “You are going to have to stay here all day as my personal mirror!”
Despite her apparently being snubbed at the gate, the 27-year-old stepped out in style for the glamorous affair, which will see her interview celebs as they enter the VIP marquees.
Keeping in theme with the pink carpet, Georgia cut a striking figure in an ‘80’s-inspired metallic pink frock that featured a plunging neckline, puffed sleeves and thigh split.
Opting for a fresh-faced makeup look, which showed off her youthful visage, she completed her ensemble with a red YSL clutch, gold strappy heels and a petite fascinator.
Georgia, who recently became engaged to her Bachelorette beau Lee Elliot, added a hint of bling to her raceday look, by flashing her diamond engagement ring.
