Susan Brown, best known for her acting role as Dr Gail Baldwin on the hit show General Hospital has died.
The veteran actress passed away at the age of 86 on August 31.

The show’s executive producer Frank Valentini shared the news on his Twitter account.
‘My sincerest condolences to her family and to all who knew this amazing woman,’ he wrote.

Brown made her debut on the popular American soap in 1977, and earned a daytime Emmy nomination for the role in 1979.
She worked on and off on the 1985 medical drama until 1985, and made guest appearances on the show until 2004.
Fans would also recognise her appearances on shows like Murder, She Wrote, Beverly Hills, 90210, Barney Miller, and Frasier.
