The couple were heartbroken when the property passed in, failing to reach the luxury $2.99 million reserve price, but have pushed for its sale since.

A year on from their Block journey, Emma and Ben tell New Idea that their home is still sitting on the market, but they’re still determined to find a buyer.

“It’s actually still on the market,” they tell us.

“We’d obviously love to see it sell because we put so much heart and soul into it, but we’re confident the right buyer will come along.”

“It’s such a beautiful home, and we’re excited for the family that eventually gets to call it theirs.”

Theirs isn’t the only one that hasn’t sold, with Han and Can’s property also sitting on the market nine months on from the 2025 auction.

Despite their “disappointing” sales woes, Emma and Ben insist they have no regrets about signing up for The Block.

“We’d do it all again in a heartbeat,” Ben insists.

“Of course, the house sale didn’t go the way we’d hoped, and that was disappointing, but The Block was about so much more than auction day.”

“We made lifelong friendships, learnt so much about ourselves, challenged ourselves in ways we never imagined, and it opened so many incredible doors for us.”

“We also got to create a home we’re genuinely proud of. Looking back, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and we wouldn’t change it.”

While the auction took place in October 2025, it’s been more than a year since their Block renovation journey kicked off.

And a lot has changed in the months since filming, with Emma and Ben welcoming their first child, son Bailey Colter Cox, in September 2025, just in time for the auction.

“Life has been a whirlwind since The Block,” Emma admits.

“We’ve been loving this new chapter with Bailey. I’m keeping busy with my business AMBR as well as a heap of dance instructing.”

Any plans for baby number two?

“We are absolutely loving being parents to our little man,” Emma gushes.

“We are learning something new every day, and golly there’s a lot to learn.”

“We’d absolutely love to give him a little sibling one day. Saying that we’re just really enjoying this stage of life as a family of 3 and are excited to see what the future holds.”

For now, they are just focusing on their careers and have already invested in their next renovation project while they wait for their Block home to sell.

They snapped up a fixer-upper property in Mount Martha, Victoria, for $920,000 in April 2026 as they’re continuing to pursue their flipping dreams.

“It is wild to think our Block journey was a whole year ago now,” Emma adds.

“The past 12 months have just flown by. Ben and I reminisce quite often about how incredible the experience was.”

“It really was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that we honestly had so much fun doing.”
