It looks like she enjoyed herself!

Sarah Ferguson has made her comeback in Wimbledon’s Royal Box for the first time since 1988.

The Duchess of York went to the first day of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

There, the 65-year-old was in a prime seat alongside her daughter, Princess Beatrice.

Although she was photographed at Wimbledon in 2000, her last appearance in the Royal Box was with the late Princess Diana.

Traditionally, British and overseas royals are guaranteed seats in the box, but other people are also allowed to watch matches there.

According to the Wimbledon website, “heads of government, people from the world of tennis, commercial partners, British armed forces, prominent media organisations, supporters of British tennis and other walks of life” are also invited.

Sir David Beckham was also spotted in the box with his mother on June 30.

Eddie Redmayne, Jason Isaacs, Richard Osman and Stuart Board were also there.

Did Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson get along?

The royal pair were incredibly close.

“She was a great lady, and she still is a great lady. I was so proud of her, [and] what she achieved, and she would be SO proud of her grandchildren,” she told 9Honey in 2024 when she was in Australia for her book tour.

Sarah added that she missed Diana’s humour.

“The thing about Diana was that she had the best sense of humour of any single person I know – that’s quite a big thing, so it’s a really big hole because she’d get my sense of humour,” she continued.

“It’s really, really hard to really make me cackle with laughter like she used to. I miss her daily.”

The royals were “best friends” since they were 14 and 15 years old, she previously told PEOPLE.

They were also both heavily targeted in the press.

“Diana and I both had our own mental health issues, and she and I used to talk,” the Duchess told the publication. “She said, ‘Fergie, remember one thing: When you’re at the top of the pedestal, it’s so easy to fall off. And you’re at the bottom. You just climb up.'”
