Prince William and Kate Middleton are known to bend the royal rules from time to time. 

This time, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have ditched royal tradition by limiting the time they spend away from their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and little Prince Louis.

This is unlike Queen Elizabeth who went on a six-month-long tour, visiting 13 countries in the West Indies, Australasia, Asia and Africa, without her children who stayed at home with her mother and their nannies.

Will and Kate are due to visit Pakistan later this year and have reportedly cut the tour short so they don’t spend too much time away from their kids.

According to Express.co.uk, the tour “may be cancelled amid growing tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the publication: “Clearly the situation arising from India’s recent revoking of the special status of the disputed region of Kashmir, which is administered by India, will be monitored closely by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and its evaluation of how events proceed will obviously determine whether the visit goes ahead.”
