Camilla Parker-Bowles will miss Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding to Jack Brooksbank on October 12 in favour of another event.
The Duchess of Cornwall has agreed to attend a school event in Scotland, with the 71-year-old being the only senior royal to skip Eugenie’s big day.
A source told The Sun that Camilla had made plans for the date and “didn’t want to let anyone down”.
The source said: “When this date was proposed, she said that regrettably she couldn’t come.
“The family understood, particularly Eugenie, and were fine about it owing to her previous commitment. Camilla didn’t want to let anyone down.”
Another source adds that the wife of Prince Charles refused to change her plans despite Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson AND the bride Princess Eugenie pleading with her.
The source said: “Eugenie and her parents wanted her to change her mind. But Camilla said she had a prior commitment and couldn’t.”
As Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding to Jack Brooksbank nears closer, more details are slowly being released about the October 12 event.
