The Bachelor’s Cass “It was a slap in the face!”

The reality star dishes on her elimination

Cassandra Wood fell hard and fast for Nick Cummins on The Bachelor, but tonight she was left heartbroken after she was sent packing.

The devastated reality star admits that her elimination was so much harder to swallow after she introduced Nick to her family.

“Everything went so well when he met my family,” she tells New Idea. “It was a bit of a slap in the face [to be eliminated]. It sucked!”

Here, Cass dishes to New Idea on her elimination and finding friends in the house.

How did you feel when you found out you had been eliminated?

It was weird, everything happened so fast, I couldn’t comprehend what was going on and I didn’t understand why. He said we had hit a ceiling, which I didn’t understand and I didn’t ask any questions either. I was heartbroken.

You clearly had strong feelings for Nick before you came into the house, having previously known him. How do you feel about him now?

He was the one that got away in the real world and then going into [the show] he was here in front of me. I used that opportunity to explain where I was at and what I was feeling and we had some really fun times. I think walking away from it I finally got an answer, which was that he didn’t see himself with me. As much as that was heartbreaking, I got an answer.

Looking back, do you think you could have done anything differently, that could have helped your chances with Nick?

It looks like I came on strong and I was open about my feelings, but it wasn’t one sided I did get a lot back from him as well. I don’t know what I could have done differently, it is what it is.

The mansion is a tough environment, did you struggle mentally in the house?

It definitely was tough for me especially since we had dated, but I did have a lot of support especially throughout the house. I had my best friends Sophie and Britt for support.

Do you still keep in touch with them?

I’m in contact with Sophie and Britt all the time. I’m really good mates with the other girls as well and we are all in contact. It’s really cool that we get to come out of this experience, if not with a boyfriend but with some friends.

Since leaving the show are you dating anyone?

No, I’m not. I have had a lot of message requests but I haven’t been paying attention because I can’t use social media fully. After that I will be back on the market looking for that guy.
