As the Bride And Prejudice weddings kicked off last night, the audience has been eagerly awaiting for one couple’s special day.
Young couple Jess and Seyat have fought for weeks to prove to Seyat’s parents, and in particular his mother Fatima, that their marriage is going to last.
In a promo for tonight’s episode, airing at 7:30pm on Channel Seven, Fatima walks into her son’s wedding, clearly fuming at the situation.
Seyat excitedly says, “Hi mum,” to which Fatima averts her gaze and shakes her head.
Fatima is heard saying, “I just feel like slapping her one.”
Hank, a fellow contestant, also tells, “She’s waited until the perfect time to strike.”
Jess can be seen walking down the aisle with both her parents, as Seyat looks shocked when he sees her.
The young bride looks gorgeous in a long white gown with her hair in curls.
The celebrant says, “For those who want to object speak now or forever hold your peace.”
Fatima fidgets in her chair, prompting the room full of guests to turn.
“This is sickening,” she whispers to her husband.
A tearful Jess is shown.
