Australian makes child sex claims against late Michael Jackson

An Australian choreographer Wade Robson, who has accused pop icon Michael Jackson of molesting him as a boy, is now at the centre of a new documentary about the music legend.

Robson, 36, alleged that Michale Jackson abused him from the ages of seven to 14 at Jackson’s home ‘Neverland’, and came forward with his allegations as an adult after the singer died in 2009. 

According to Vanity Fair, the documentary Leaving Neverland stunned and shocked the audience at the Sundance Film Festival, as Robson and fellow accuser James Safechick gave detailed accounts of the trauma and abuse they allegdly suffered at the hands of Jackson, for the film.

Robson, who is originally from Queensland, has reportedly detailed at length his claims against the singer for the film, whose producers interviewed Robson, Robson’s family and James Safechuck. 

According to the Daily Mail, James and Wade received a standing ovation at the Sundance Film Festival premiere over the weekend, with Robson saying: ‘We can’t change what happened to us. And we can’t do anything about Michael.’

Jacksons family have denied both Robson and Safechuck’s allegations, calling them “dated and discredited”, according to the Daily Mail.
