A key suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been named as a convicted paedophile and child killer.
German social worker Martin Neys, who’s currently serving a life sentence for his crimes, has an incredibly disturbing history.
Dubbed the “masked man,” 48-year-old Ney was jailed for life in 2012 for “abducting and murdering three children, and sexually abusing dozens more,” The Sun reports.
He reportedly confessed to killing the three German children and sexually abusing 40 more, in attacks across his native Germany, France and Holland.
Goncalo Amaral, the police officer who first lead the investigation into the three-year-old British girl’s disappearance 12-years-ago in Portugal, told The Sun how police are looking into Ney, a “German paedophile who is in prison.”
The publication reports that the youth worker “dressed in black and donned masks and balaclavas while carrying out his attacks” in Germany, France and Holland, and is said to know the Praia da Luz area where Madeleine was staying with her family well.
