If you’re an ALDI addict like us you might have known that the discount supermarket recently released a ‘Style Your Room’ range across Australia. The range was aimed at making your home look and feel luxe, without breaking the bank.
While there was lots of hype around the new collection, there was one item that stole the hearts of many – so much so, it sold out in a mere thirty seconds.
The item garnering so much attention was the ‘Tate’ fabric accent chair. The chair features a tufted fabric seat, buttoned backrest and rubber wood finishings. It was available in two colours, grey and beige, and was valued at $99.99.
The coveted item, since it’s release on Wednesday, has created an outpouring of negative comments from unhappy shoppers.
ALDI customers are claiming the chain store does not provide enough supply for the most in demand items, sometimes causing violent and crazy situations in store.
A spokesperson for Aldi has tried to justify the chairs lack of supply, stating: ‘Our weekly Special Buys are ordered months in advance and are intended to be on sale for one week in a bid to keep our range fresh and interesting. We do our best to supply our stores with sufficient stock however, sometimes they sell out faster than expected due to their exceptional value and high quality.’
Congratulations to those who managed to get their hands on the prestigious item!
