Mandy Moore has laughed off plastic surgery rumours but she holds no judgment towards her peers who choose to go under the knife.
The This Is Us star has revealed that she once stumbled across a blog post discussing her nose and how she had had it surgically enhanced.
The 34-year-old actress and singer told POPSUGAR that the story didn’t upset her. In fact, it made her laugh.
“I remember seeing some blog post that said I got a nose job,” Mandy was quoted as saying.
“I was like, ‘That’s weird — my nose is pretty imperfect.’ I have a crinkled part underneath the bridge of my nose and I remember laughing like, ‘I feel like I would have fixed that had I had a nose job.’ I don’t know, maybe it was just a weird picture or weird makeup or shading or something.”
Mandy, who recently split from her rocker husband Ryan Adams, added that rumours were rife when it came to Hollywood celebrities and the topic of surgery.
“People think everyone in Hollywood has had a nose job or some work done, but it’s not always true. People are going to believe what they want, and that’s fine.”
The brunette star was quick to point out that she does not judge those who do turn to plastic or cosmetic surgery in a bid to improve their appearance.
“If having work done is going to make somebody feel better about themselves, then more power to them,” she said.
Mandy may not have had rhinoplasty (the official term for a nose job), but plenty of Hollywood actresses and even every day women have. The procedure is a popular one in Australia with thousands booking in every year. However, despite rhinoplasty being a common and relatively simple operation, there are risks involved and it is recommended you do your homework before booking in.
