His journey to find love may have been short, but boy was it sweet for Farmer Jack, who ultimately had his heart stolen by Sarah Linklater on the 15th season of Farmer Wants a Wife.
The 26-year-old signed up for FWAW after being encouraged by his mum to put his heart on the line and find someone to settle down with on his family farm in the rural community of Railton in northern Tasmania.
Located just 20 minutes outside of the regional city of Devenport, which boasts a population of just over 25,000, Jack hoped that taking part in the reality dating series, he’d be able to find someone to start a family with and marry after exhausting his options back home.
Entering the season as an “intruder” farmer, he very quickly whittled down a group of eight gorgeous ladies to five, two, and finally one to start a relationship with in the real world: Sarah.

The pair caught up with New Idea in May 2026 and confirmed that yes, they’re still together – and very happy.
Farmer Jack and Sarah are stronger than ever – living together at his idyllic dairy farm in Tasmania, after Sarah relocated from Queensland to be with her man.
“Since the show, we have just been settling into our life together. I’ve been working at the farm with Jack – he’s been teaching me everything I need to know, and we do milking every morning,” Sarah, 31, says.
Jack, 28, reveals that he’s pleasantly surprised Sarah is keen to help him out on the farm, as he didn’t expect it.
“I never said that I wanted someone to work with me, but it’s been a bonus, and I enjoy it,” says Jack.
Sarah is also smitten by Jack’s work ethic.
“I always had it in my mind that he was going to be a very hard worker, and seeing that in practice, he has so much care and love for the farm. I think it’s incredible,” she says.
“My favourite part about our relationship is we don’t seem to get sick of each other even though we do live and work together – for a lot of couples that might be too much, but it doesn’t seem to be the case for us,” she adds.
While the couple won’t be drawn on future plans, they admit their “time together is precious”. They are planning a holiday exploring the east coast of Tasmania soon too.
“Sarah’s more open to camping than I am,” Jack says with a laugh. “I said, ‘I’m not doing that, we better book a hotel!’”
Keeping quiet on social media
The couple keep their romance extremely private and rarely post to social media.
Sarah confirmed that she moved in with Jack on the farm just three months after filming, and they’ve been going strong ever since.
It’s an uncommon update, as the pair have hardly posted on their social media since finding love on the show, as they have been enjoying life in Tasmania.
It was back on November 10, 2025, that Sarah last posted to Instagram when she shared a carousel of photos and videos of their life together, including a sweet photo with Jack at a tulip farm.
Fellow FWAW star Keeley Rankin, who fell for farmer Corey on the show, commented on the post at the time.
“Love this girlfriend 🤩 Tasmania is calling my name,” she wrote.
With Sarah’s reply confirming the couple’s loved-up status: “@keeley.rankin we are ready for you whenever! Xx”
Rewinding to July 6, 2025, Sarah shared a sweet carousel of photos with her beau.
“Life lately… 💕Slowing down, soaking it all in and sharing plenty of laughs with this one,” she wrote.
“Grateful for where the journey’s taken me, and excited for what’s to come.”
While the pair do not post on social media often, they have said they are happy and in love.
What happened in the Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 reunion?
In the reunion episode that aired on June 23rd, the pair revealed that while Sarah had yet to relocate full-time from Cairns to her new beau’s farm in northern Tasmania, their “deep, emotional connection” was still strong.
“It’s hard with long distance [and] his communication skills aren’t the best,” Sarah told host Natalie Gruzlewski as she discussed the difficulties of long distance as the couple was grilled on the couch.
“I’ve looked into moving down the next few months, sending my animals first, then driving down,” she added, revealing that the couple had plans to visit each other over the next few months before Sarah made the permanent move.
As for whether or not they are in love, the answer is a resounding yes!
What happened between Jack and Sarah on FWAW?
After saying a tough final farewell to Olivia, a besotted Jack wore his heart on his sleeve as he confessed the true depths of his feelings to Sarah and revealed to her that it was she he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
“Seeing how close you are with your family and friends, it did put some doubts into my mind about how you’d go in Tassie long-term because I’d hate to take you away from your home. Although I’d give it my all, I don’t know if my all would be enough for you. Despite all that, my feelings for you have grown from strong to stronger, and whether we are sitting in silence or talking for hours, I feel at ease with you. I’ve always felt pulled back to you and always have you on my mind,” he spoke from the heart.
“I can’t imagine my future without you. Sarah, you are a risk, but you are a risk I am willing to take. I do feel like I’m falling in love with you. Would you like to share your future with me?”
A thrilled Sarah then responded with “of course,” her adoration for Jack clear.
“It’s been so amazing being around you; you just make me feel so incredible. I feel like we are just getting closer and closer. I’m just so excited, and I just can’t wait to learn more about you and spend time planning our future together,” she told him before the pair exchanged a sweet kiss to seal the deal.
From the very beginning, it was clear that the 29-year-old had the “down-to-earth, girl-next-door” vibes that Jack was looking for.
With a shared love of the little things in life, a desire to start a family young, and a willingness to share all that life on the land had to offer, Sarah was a frontrunner from the get-go.
There was an instant spark between the lovebirds during the speed dating round, where, soon after, Jack chose Sarah to spend a romantic 24-hour solo date with him on his farm.
While there were several obstacles that the pair had to face in the following weeks as Jack got to know his fellow suitors, it was clear Sarah was always at the front of his mind, especially given just how strong their romantic and physical connection was from the start.
