Jo is clearly the biggest influence on the group, explaining backstage:

“Akrobatika is a broad range of talent, we have students that are from New Zealand, Western Australia, Tasmania, and even from America! when I created the school my main goal was for kids to come to our studio and follow their dreams.”

She explains how coaching the team “is one of the most rewarding things that I’ve ever done in my life.”

She continued to explain that they are like a family to her and how happy it makes her seeing them succeed inside and outside the studio in their lives.

It’s the same for the members of the group, who adore Jo and the group.

“She’s like a mum, she just looks after all of us,” a member explains.

“Akrobatika has changed my life… growing up in a country town I always dreamed of doing this stuff. doing it now is just amazing and is such a great opportunity,” a team member explained to the camera.
