There was one very specific reason why Stu Laundy couldn’t maintain his six month relationship with Sophie Monk.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the millionaire publican couldn’t keep up with The Bachelorette’s partying.
Although the 37-year-old claimed in the pre show promotion videos that her ideal date would be a night in with ‘trackies, TV and wine,’ the reality was anything but!
‘Sophie loves to party… and in the end it became a bit much for Stu’, who allegedly couldn’t convince her to spend ‘the odd night on the couch’, the unnamed friend claimed.
Despite the fact that it was thought father of four, Stu was the one who enjoyed a night out, a friend of the newly single 45-year-old says it was Sophie who just couldn’t stop partying.
‘Sophie loves to party… loves to have a drink and a cigarette and has made no secret of that,’ continued the insider.
‘And in the end it became a bit much for Stu.’
In an attempt to get turn the failing relationship around, the pub heir’s friend said: ‘He tried to get her to slow down… just a little bit. Have the odd night on the couch.
‘But Sophie wasn’t interested.’
However, Sophie’s manager Titus Day was quick to slam the claims, telling the publication: ‘There is no one I’ve met who parties less than Sophie,’ Titus said, ‘That is common knowledge.’
Earlier on this week, Sophie took to Instagram to confirm the news that she and Stu had ended their six month relationship.
‘I went into this experience looking to settle down and start a family… my intentions were everything I said I was looking for, but unfortunately it just didn’t work out,’ she wrote.
‘As much as I respect him we are just very different people.’
