Sophie Monk broke down in tears within minutes of last night’s Bachelorette premiere.
The 37-year-old media personality wiped away tears as she explained fears she may have chosen her career over love, and believed the show was her last chance.
‘I feel like I chose my career, and you can’t really have both. I wish I could have balanced it better,’ she told producers.
Monk, who has spent a majority of her career in Hollywood, insisted the choice was her biggest regret.
The admission was to sister, Angelique, prior to entering the mansion for the first time.
Consoling her, Angelique said: ‘Hopefully you do walk away with what you want. And I just hope that, you know, the right people are there for the right reasons.’
‘My intuition is pretty good,’ Sophie told her sister.
‘I just think, for me, now in my life, I’m so ready to meet someone and commit and really settle down…the time is now.’
Sophie has recently confirmed that one of the 18 suitors on The Bachelorette has won her heart.
