The ongoing soap opera of Karl Stefanovic and his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn continues, with Cass today grabbing headlines by indulging in a pole dancing routine on Studio 10, following her spirited response to claims she has stolen the nickname used by Karl’s new wife, Jasmine.

Showing how fit and toned she is, Cass took centre stage on Studio 10, as she danced in activewear and high heels to the Joe Cocker stripper classic, You Can Leave Your Hat On. The stunt created headlines, no doubt uncomfortable for Karl, about what he might be ‘missing out on’.
The moment was a bit of light relief after Cass was earlier forced to defend herself against allegations she had taken Jasmine’s nickname, Fizzy, to use on her new car’s personalised number plate.
Jasmine told the Kyle and Jackie O show that she bought the car from a friend, with the number plate already in place.
‘I didn’t know it was her nickname,’ Cassandra said. ‘It’s not common knowledge is it? Apparently it is now!
HEAR CASS DISCUSS THE DRAMA BELOW
‘The car, I purchased from my girlfriend, who was moving overseas for a couple of years.
‘She offered me to buy her car, which has had the same number plate for four years and she actually owned the number plate on her previous car.
‘And she asked me if I wanted to buy her car, and I said yes. And she said, “I also want [you] to keep the private plates” because it has something to do with her and another member of her family. I don’t know, people do that with private plates.
‘And she said, “Can you hold onto it [the plates]?” And she actually still pays for the private plates. I’ve had the car since February and organised to buy it late last year.’
Pressed by Karl Sandilands on whether the plates have anything at all to do with Karl, Cass was insistent that was not the case.
But having cleared that up, Cass now says she says she now lives in fear that someone will damage the car after all the crazy publicity and the motivations being ascribed to her.
