The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco has opened up about her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Sweeting.
The 32-year-old actress told Cosmopolitan how the relationship had deeply altered her perception of marriage: ‘I honestly thought I wouldn’t get married again. My ex ruined that word for me’.
She continued ‘I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn’t my fault — that was his.’
Cuoco and the former tennis player went their separate ways just 21 months after getting engaged in September 2013.
But Cuoco’s outlook on marriage all changed after meeting Karl Cook, whom she is currently engaged to.
‘I knew how much I had to give and how much I wanted to receive. I knew I just had to be patient…I had to go through a lot of things, but it brought me to Karl’ she revealed.
Cook popped the question to the star in December last year.
