Popular New York gossip columnist, Liz Smith passed away Sunday.
The journalist, aged 94 was confirmed dead by her agent, Joni Evans who told the Associated Press that she died of natural causes.
Liz was widely known for her self-titled column ‘Liz Smith’ in a variety of publications, including The New York Post and The Huffington Post. She was also reportedly one of the highest paid print journalists in the U.S.

Speaking to the Associated Press in 1987, Liz said about her career: ‘We mustn’t take ourselves too seriously in this world of gossip,’
‘When you look at it realistically, what I do is pretty insignificant. Still, I’m having a lot of fun.’
