Taking to Instagram this morning, the former The X Factor Australia finalist announced that he would be releasing new music, with his song Broken Glass expected to drop on June 28th.
Posting a shot of a smashed glass window in a door frame with the numbers ’28-06-19′ over top, Ruffo wrote to his 236K Instagram followers: “It’s Coming… 28-06-19 🎶 #brokenglass”
In May, Ruffo spoke on the Fitzy and Wippa show to give his fans an update on his health.
“Currently clear of cancer,” Ruffo told the radio hots, “I’ve gotten the all clear, so no more cancer. I’ve just got to hope it stays that way.”
In the same interview, Ruffo revealed that he had written three new songs for an upcoming album drop, however, apart from this sole social media post no further details have been announced.
Johnny discovered he had a tumour in his brain after his girlfriend Tahnee Sims rushed him to the hospital when he complained of a severe headache.
“I was just at home and I had a headache, but everyone has headaches and you never think much of it,” he told Who Are You podcast host Pete Timbs.
“It had been ongoing and it just got worse and worse. It got to about 4 or 5 in the afternoon and I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t communicate with her [Tahnee] at all.”
In January, Johnny told Daily Mail Australia his fight with the illness may finally be over for good.
We can’t wait to hear what to hear Broken Glass!
