Asher Keddie is an iconic presence on Australian screens, but the award-winning actress says being a mother is “her biggest role yet.”
In an interview with Who Magazine, Keddie revealed that she how she learnt to transfer the skills of motherhood and channel them into her job.
When asked if being a mother helped her prepare for her latest role in The Cry, Keddie responded candidly: “Sure, they’re different circumstances, but the same level of ferocious protectiveness I feel about my children was at play as I was performing that role.”
Keddie also revealed how she coped juggling her career and family, telling Who Magazine: “It was a struggle. It always is, that’s the thing. Gone are the days where it was just me sitting in a hotel room (and it was so much easier) somewhere, having the space to learn lines for three hours,
“It is a juggle, I can’t lie about that, but my partner, [painter] Vincent Fantauzzo, and I just make it work.”
