This week it was announced that legends of the silver screen Amanda Muggleton and Frankie J Holden will lend their considerable talents to Home and Away, playing Robbo’s (Jake Ryan) parents.
The news has left fans of the hit Channel Seven soap very excited, and this morning Amanda and her on-screen son dropped by The Morning Show to chat all things Summer Bay.

The former Wentworth star was given a grand introduction on The Morning Show, as Larry and Kylie showed the star some clips of her old work, much to Amanda’s delight.
On playing the ‘mother-in-law’ from hell, Amanda jokingly hugs Jake telling Kylie, “I’m very protective of him!”
“She’s not that scary!” insists Jake, who’s love interest Jasmine (played by Sam Frost) appears to have been given the cold treatment by Amanda’s character, Wendy.
“Now you’re in Summer Bay! Was that a no brainer for you?” asks Larry.
“Oh, I’ve waited 30 years to get into this! It’s really funny, you know years ago, if you were working for one channel then the other channel wouldn’t use you!
“I love doing it. It means I can stay in my home, that’s what I’ve missed. Having a fabulous job, with fabulous people in a fabulous soap opera and living in my own home.”
A beaming Kylie then turns to ‘Robbo’, “Jake how fabulous is she as your on-screen mum?”
“Oh, she’s great, I want to keep her!” Jake replies.
“Were you nervous?”, enquired Kylie.
“Yeah, I was curious to see who they cast, but I was pretty excited when I heard it was Amanda and Frankie, you know they’re people who you grow up watching.
“And we have a lot of fun!”
Speaking with New Idea Frankie (who is coming on to play Ian) and Amanda, both revealed how ecited they were ot join the cast.
“I was thrilled to join the show,” says Amanda.
“Thirty years was a long time to wait, but it was worth it! The crew, cast and creatives are so established and professional – it was made so easy.”
As for Frankie, he reveals:
“The role came about like everything seems to come about for me – someone, somewhere thought it would be a good idea to get me involved in the show.”
