Camilla Parker Bowles has decided to abandon her husband, Prince Charles, ahead of their trip to Japan for this very interesting reason.

The Prince of Wales is set to arrive in Japan on Tuesday to attend to ceremonial enthronement of Emperor Naruhito. However, due to the Duchess of Cornwall’s fear of flying, the future King of England is set to travel to the country alone.
Last year, the 71-year-old admitted for the first time that she had a deep fear of flying when the Royal appeared on ITV’s This Morning.
Her phobia has meant the Duchess often will miss royal engagements with Prince Charles and has led to her cutting her overseas trips short in the past, including the couple’s visit to Australia in April 2018.
When Camilla cut her trip down under short, Clarence House released the following statement: “The Duchess does not like flying but I think she has to sometimes embrace that fear.”
From England, flights to Japan can take up to 20 hours.
Instead of going to Japan, one of the hardest-working royals has a number of engagements lined up to keep herself busy while Charles is away.
This week, the Duchess of Cornwall will open the new Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases and Brownsword Therapies Centre at the Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH) on Tuesday.
Later in the week, Camilla will attend a tea reception in London.
Clarence House announced the engagement on Instagram, writing: “The Prince of Wales will visit Japan on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen to attend the Ceremony of Enthronement of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.
“The visit will take place from 22 to 23 October and will include a day of engagements in Tokyo to celebrate British-Japanese connections.”
