Anti-vax campaigners target family of whooping cough baby

Accused of spreading 'proganda'

Anti-vaxxers have accused parents of spreading ‘propaganda’ after they posted a video highlighting how serious whooping cough can be for babies.

Sandra Tee, from Sydney, posted footage online on Monday, showing her five-week-old daughter, Heidi, fighting for her life after she caught the disease from her brother.

Almost immediately, anti-vaxxers went on the defense.

‘Don’t believe the propaganda! Vaccines do more harm than good … do the proper research,’ one man wrote online.

Another wrote: ‘So you’re telling me I’m an irresponsible parent because I refused to get my son vaccinated after I witnessed my 2-month-old baby almost dead (sic) after he had just gotten a vaccine.’

The video has been viewed over 400 thousand times. As a result Sandra hopes more parents become aware of the ‘sometimes silent symptoms of whooping cough, reports Essential Baby.

‘Please don’t ignore the warning signs – our baby girl only had a slight cough to start,” she told the parenting site. ‘Please share this to educate more people on the importance of vaccinations.’
