Tom Cruise is being begged by his daughter Suri to pay her a visit, according to a sensational new report published in the US today.
America’s Star magazine outrageously claims the 11-year-old hasn’t seen her superstar dad for a staggering 1,487 days.
Now, she’s reportedly made an emotional plea for him to finally do something about it.
“Her sentiments were short but full of emotion,” an insider allegedly told the publication. “She asked if she’d done something to make him stay away, and then begged him to come and visit.”
Tom’s reported estrangement from his daughter – whose mother is his ex-wife Katie Holmes – is believed to be a consequence of his dedication to Scientology.
It’s claimed that because Suri and her mother aren’t followers of the controversial church, they are “suppressive people” – and as such, to be avoided.
But according to Star, Tom’s stance could be softening and a reunion with Suri is looking more likely than ever.
An insider said, “Tom is the most famous – and loyal – Scientologist on the planet, and he’s always done everything they asked him to. But I believe something changed in him after he learned just how heartbroken Suri still is.
“I’m sure he knows it’s a long shot, but Tom may be considering asking the church to make an exception and let him have a face-to-face visit with his little girl soon.”
Neither Cruise nor Holmes have commented on the claims, although in the past Tom’s reps have insisted he retains a good relationship with his daughter.
A Scientology rep recently told the New York Daily News: “Scientologists do not cut ties with non-Scientologist friends or family members because they have chosen another religion.”
