A new video caught on bodycam by Queensland officers highlights its terrifying side-effects. An 18-year-old girl can be seen collapsed in the street while screaming and writhing around in pain.

Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man was shown wearing boxers and begging for help.

‘Flakka’ is a synthetic compound that is often sold as MDMA but which causes hallucinations, violent outbursts and paranoia.

Assistant Commissioner Brian Codd issued a warning: ‘Over the last few days, we have seen a number of people have significant adverse reactions to this drug.’
