Lifeguard Nick Malcolm had to wade in and save the youngster after he became trapped in a rip on Mermaid Beach.

In Denmark, Mary andFrederick often take their kids to Tisvilde, a picturesque small town on the north coast of the island Zealand where they enjoy picnics, walks, days on the beach and long bike rides.

The royal family are fond of skiing, too, so regularly head to the glitzy town of Verbier where they enjoy snow sports on the celebrity-filled slopes.

Crown Prince Frederik is also a keen sailor, so the family are known to head out on glamorous yachting holidays.

In 2017 they travelled to Greece, arriving on the island of Kos just a few hours after a huge earthquake hit, killing two people and destroying many buildings.
