Prince Charles has shown us a softer side after hearing his son speak out about taking over.

The Queen’s son starred in ITV’s documentary Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall.
It explores the 70-year-old’s role as The Duke of Cornwall, and the work he’s been doing for the past 50 years.
Prince Charles spoke about how he’s moulded his land and property investments, explaining he’s “tried to make it as much of a family exercise as possible.”
Charles was deeply touched when William explained he can’t wait to continue the work with his family.
“I couldn’t believe it, I was deeply touched and moved by what he said.”
“It reduced me to tears because I suddenly thought well hearing that from him has made the last 50-years’ worthwhile.”
Prince William said, “I’ve started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day and what I will do.”
William recounted bringing Prince George to the Duchy farm.
“He would be absolutely loving this. He’s obsessed.”
He told one farmer, “My children are already playing on the tractors and … it’s so important to get outside, and have the children understand nature.”
Prince Charles, at the age of 70, is the longest-serving heir.
Addressing his son Prince William one day taking the throne, Charles had a pretty frank response.
He said, “Confronting your own mortality is a very good thing for you, if I may say so, it’s quite good for the soul.”
