Netflix has officially axed it’s remaining Marvel shows following months of gradual cancellations with hit series Jessica Jones and The Punisher poised to end later this year.
After agreeing to a lucrative partnership deal in late 2013, the Netflix – Marvel collaboration produced 13 seasons of TV including Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders.
All four shows were cancelled in recent months with the remaining two scheduled to finish after their respective current seasons.

The streaming service and comic book production giant confirmed the end of their five year collaboration in preparation for the imminent launch of Disney’s “Disney+” rival streaming service.
Disney, who own the rights to Marvel productions, previously announced it will produce its own TV series with popular characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
In an official cancellation statement, Netflix told Deadline: “We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning.”
All 13 seasons of the six Marvel shows will remain on Netflix until further notice.
