She’s had a chequered history with previous co-stars, but now The Voice’s Delta Goodrem is having a dummy spit over Guy Sebastian becoming the fourth coach for next year.
Well placed Nine insiders tell New Idea the 32-year-old is not happy at all with Guy being added to the line-up. And the new 2019 promo has sent her into a “classic Delta spin” as Guy gets top billing.
“It has been explained to her it was a promo announcing a new coach, but she isn’t happy as the footage is still on air and ran during the ARIAs which is watched by the whole record industry,” spills the insider.
“Delta wants top billing as she sees herself as The Voice Aussie royalty having been there since day one of the popular show. Her insecurity on the show with fellow coaches is legendary, but even more so now as they have signed a fellow Australian Sony Music artist.”
According to the insiders, Delta sees herself as “top tier” Sony and Guy as “second tier” as he won a singing contest.
Guy won Australian Idol back in 2003 while Delta was already forging her career, so Delta and her management have made calls to Nine to make it very clear she wants top billing when filming starts and new promos go to air.
