Heidi Latcham has had her doubts about husband Mike Gunner throughout their time on Married at First Sight. She’s been dubious about his ability to settle down and fall in love and these photos suggest that she might have been right to be cautious.
Mike was spotted on a day out with fellow MAFS stars, Nic Jovanovic and Cyrell Paule, kissing a busty blonde that is clearly not Heidi.
“I really want it to work but the spark I going, it’s dwindling,” Heidi reveals tonight. And despite the experts saying she’s the one that pushes people away, it seems she might right to question Mike’s ability to make things work in the real world.
“Maybe, I’ll try and fall in love with you,” he said proudly on the homestay. And rightly Heidi was dismayed – maybe I’ll try!!!
Even Mike’s dad questioned whether he is capable of compromise to let a girl into his life.
“Since the homestay it’s been a bit of a struggle,” Mike says. “I feel that Heidi might be losing interest just a little bit. Her eyes are a little more vacant, there’s not that warmth there.”
So it’s maybe not surprising that Mike cut his losses and looked for warmth and an easy relationship elsewhere. He certainly looked comfortable embracing this mystery blonde, who he may have met as part of the MAFS crew.
“If the foundation is rocky and we’re not understanding each other, then the whole things going to crash,” Heidi explains to Ning and Mark over the table. “We always had that spark to pull us back but it’s dying away which is scary. I want that spark to come back but I don’t know how to get it back.”
And at this point it seems Mike has given up, defeated. “Maybe we just had five really good weeks and that’s it,” Mike says philosophically,
When Mike tried to explain himself with the love comments at the homestay, it resulted in him digging a deeper hole with Heidi. At that time she shut him down, quickly saying: “ew, I don’t want to hear any of that.” And she certainly may feel the same about seeing these revealing candid shots.
