Troubled former AFL footballer Ben Cousins will spend 12 months behind bars for repeatedly breaching a violence restraining order.

The 38-year-old premiership player was sentenced in Perth Magistrates Court today, after pleading guilty to a string of charges including aggravated stalking and drug possession.
He was also fined $2400.
Police found eight grams of methamphetamine in the former West Coast captain’s possession when he was arrested.
