So how did he do it? We take you through Adam’s clever recipe here!DIY MILO BARSWhat you’ll need:– Chocolate buttons- Tin of Milo- A stainless steel bowl- A saucepan- A wooden spoon- A teaspoon- Silicone moulds/ice cube trayThe method:1. Place water in your saucepan, filling until it’s 1/4 full. Place stainless steel bowl on top of the saucepan and place on your gas burner. Heat on a simmer so it’s easier to control the chocolate. Alternatively, you can microwave the chocolate.2. Pour the chocolate buttons into the stainless steel bowl over top of saucepan and stir with a wooden spoon until melted.3. Have your silicone mould or silicone ice cube tray ready – keep it on a chopping board to keep it steady.4. Pour the melted chocolate into the moulds, remembering to coat all the sides with chocolate. This is important so that your Milo doesn’t later just fall out when you pop the mould.5. It’s Milo time! Pour Milo straight from the tin into the moulds with a teaspoon, making sure you don’t fill it entirely as we need space too finish off.6. After adding Milo to all the moulds, pour the remainder of your chocolate on top of the moulds. Using your wooden spoon, push any air out and make sure you cover any exposed Milo.7. Place the mould and chopping board into your freezer and leave to set for one to two hours.8. After an hour, check to see if it has solidified – if it has, then pop it out of the mould and place them in an air-tight container to store in the fridge. It’s as simple as that! Well done, Adam!
