Thomas, 35, signed up for FWAW 2025 after struggling to find a partner willing to live on the land alongside him in his remote farming community of Kimba, South Australia.

Located hundreds of kilometres away from Adelaide, and with a population of only 1000, the wheat, barley, and lentil farmer was hopeful he’d find a special lady who would not only fall in love with him, but also the land that holds such a dear place in his heart.

He and Clarette fell hard and fast for one another and left the show united; however, signs have now suggested that their fairytale romance sadly wasn’t to be.

Are Farmer Thomas and Clarette from Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 still together?

Sadly, insiders claim that they are no longer together.

In an exclusive chat with Corey and Keeley from the same season, the couple say they “can’t confirm” the news.

“I haven’t spoken to Clarette, and Corey hasn’t spoken to Thomas, but we’ve obviously seen all the same things that the public has seen and if it is the case that they have broken up, then we hope that they’re both okay, and that it’s amicable because they’re both excellent people,” Keeley tells us.

New Idea had previously confirmed that Clarette permanently relocated to Kimba to live with Thomas on his farm in early 2025, and was working at a local school teaching secondary English.

However, a recently surfaced newsletter from Wudinna Area School revealed that she had stepped down from her position.

“It has been a pleasure to have her as part of our school community, and we are grateful for the expertise and passion she has brought to teaching,” the newsletter said.

It also said that her passion for reading and her work with Shakespeare, the Accelerated Reader program, had a positive impact on the school community.

“She will be greatly missed by students, staff and the wider community,” it continued. “We thank Clarette for her dedication and wish her all the very best in her future endeavours.”

Even though the couple had gushed about one another on their social media pages, an insider told our sister publication Woman’s Day that it was a different story behind the scenes.

“It hasn’t been as perfect as it seemed,” a source close to the couple alleged.

Rumours had been swirling that the couple might have gone their separate ways after fans spotted some telling signs on social media.

Even though there are pictures of him with Clarette still on Instagram, Thomas’ bio no longer features her name. At the time of publication, Clarette still has Thomas tagged in her bio with an infinity symbol emoji.

Fans also began to notice that Thomas was not featuring in Clarette’s posts about her travels.

“They live very different lifestyles,” the insider told Woman’s Day.

“Thomas is tied to the farm, but Clarette was often travelling and spending time away.”

Neither Thomas nor Clarette has publicly addressed the rumours.

What happened at the Farmer Wants a Wife reunion?

During the reunion, which aired on June 23, 2025, Thomas described Clarette as the love of his life.

He also admitted that his parents had met his new partner after not meeting on the show, and that he had FINALLY cut ties for good with Claire.

“We’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve managed to get through them strong. I can be myself around you, and you laugh at my bad jokes,” a visibly emotional Thomas declared to Clarette as he revealed she was his final pick.

“You’d make the most beautiful wife and mother. I love you,” he then told her, to which an overjoyed Clarette responded with “I love you too.”

“It’s been hard at times, and it’s tested us, but I’ve always said if we can get through this, we can get through anything. I just think you’re an amazing person inside and out, and I’ve been waiting and hoping for you, and you’re here,” she then told her beau before they exchanged a romantic kiss.

In a later interview with producers on camera, Clarette said it felt “amazing” to be in love and that she couldn’t wait for her future with Thomas.

“We’re in love, it’s official,” she confessed on camera, with Thomas adding that he was “speechless” that Clarette returned his feelings.

While their road to happiness wasn’t without its hurdles, it was clear from their first speed date that Thomas and Clarette had an undeniable connection.

Just prior to Thomas’ emotional declaration of love towards the British school teacher, the farmer confessed to the cameras that there was no doubt in his mind that he could see a future with the blonde bombshell.

“I want a wife and a family, and just to create memories with an amazing person. And I believe Clarette can be that person,” he shared, a huge grin adorning his face.

“I came here to find a wife, and I don’t want to waste any more time,” he then added.

As proof of his commitment to her, Thomas also surprised Clarette with a series of videos recorded by her family members giving their blessing to the couple.
