He might have only just turned six, but Prince George will one day become King of England.
And, while his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, have previously revealed that they are keeping that information from him to give him a normal upbringing, the day will come when they must tell George about his future role.

But, how will they tell him?
“There’s no precedent,” Royal commentator Angela Mollard says on the podcast New Idea Royals.
“You can’t consult a parenting book and ask it how do you tell your son he is going to be king, because it’s a unique situation.”
Of course, they won’t be the first couple to have to go through this, but Ange admits that Will and Kate may not be following in their predecessors’ footsteps.
“The Queen of course her raising of Prince Charles perhaps wasn’t idea he has spoken about how it was a cold upbringing, so William and Kate are kind of winging it,” adds Angela.
“Obviously Diana was a warm mum so how she and Charles talked to William about becoming king will inform them.”
No matter how they decide to tell George, it won’t be easy for the Cambridge’s, but they may well lean on the Middleton’s for advice.
“I think it would be a very hard conversation to have,” she says.
“I imagine they have taken wise advice from them and the Middleton’s who are very involved in the family… I think they will be very involved in the process.”
