Meghan Markle has been a fully fledged member of the royal family for more than a year, since marrying Prince Harry in a royal wedding ceremony that was watched the world over, in May 2018.
But at recent public appearances, there have been subtle clues that Duchess Meghan is hiding a sad secret, and is actually unhappy with her royal role.

During her most recent appearance at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, there were still signs of a royal rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
But it could be Meghan’s fashion choices that are most revealing regarding her mood.
The American ex-actress has previously spoken of wearing dark colours when she’s feeling down.
At the Trooping the Colour, to celebrate Queen Elizabeth‘s birthday, the Duchess of Sussex wore a navy outfit.
In contrast, Kate Middleton chose a paler coloured outfit, wearing a buttermilk yellow dress for the occasion.

Looking back over her most recent appearances, the Duchess of Sussex has often chosen dark shades, and has opted for navy blue more than once.
Speaking to InStyle in 2015, Meghan hinted at her preference for dark colours when discussing her suits character, Rachel Zane
“You’ll notice that in season two when Rachel’s [Zane] falling in love with Mike, I wear more blush tones,” she told the publication.
“And season one when she’s really all about business, I wear more charcoal greys and blacks.”
She confessed that she applies the same rules to her own wardrobe.
Meghan said: “I think our clothes are such a reflection of how we’re feeling.
“If you’re in love, you’re probably going to wear things that make you feel like more romantic when you put them on.
