Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed Baby Archie on May 6 but in the two months since he was born, there have been reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already gone through multiple nannies.
While some have suggested it could be due to Meghan being ‘difficult’ or ‘controlling’, there may actually be a very practical reason for it.
“There’s been talk they have lost three of them already, I don’t necessarily think that’s true,” royal commentator Angela Mollard reveals on the podcast New Idea Royals.
“I think what’s probably happened is that they have had a sleep nurse, a night nanny to get them through those early stages.”
But, when it comes to a full-time nanny, Angela believes that the couple could still be trying to find the perfect match.
“Of course, they are probably trialling who works with their family,” she shares.
“I mean it’s a very important pivotal position as we know with the Cambridge’s and Maria Borrallo, and how important she is to that family as other nannies have been.
“I think to expect them to get the right person straight off is a big call. They also need someone who is going to travel to South Africa with them later this year when they make that trip there.”
However, in the meantime, Angela suggests that they could be getting help from multiple people.
“I think they are probably in that stage where they get some sleep advice from one person you might get a lactation specialist from another,” she says.
“There could be all sorts of things.”
