The royal baby is due any day now and fans were sent into a frenzy after they thought that possible names for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby had been revealed on the royal family’s website.

The Royal Family members all have their own page on the website and the URL ends with their name.

Some fans noticed that the website featured domains for rumoured baby names including Prince Arthur, Prince Alexander and Prince James and when searched they would redirect you to the home page.

However, if you searched for domains such as Princess Grace it would say “page not found.”

Of course, this prompted lots of speculation that Meghan and Harry are expecting a baby boy.

But the palace has since spoken out to deny the blunder.

“A large number of search term redirects were set up some time ago on royal.uk. This was in order to improve user experience,” a palace spokesperson said.

“For guidance you will note that other names preceded by ‘prince’ or ‘princess’ produce the same result.”

A similar thing took place ahead of Prince Louis’ birth last year when it was noted that a page for a Prince Albert existed on the Royal Family website leading to speculation that would be the tot’s name.

Of course, we soon learnt that the name Prince William and Kate Middleton chose was Louis. Therefore, the website redirects could mean nothing.

We will just have to wait and see.
