Turns out, the Royal Family are just like us!
A report from US Weekly claims that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a “family text chain” with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
According to the US tabloid, Zara Tindall’s husband Mike claimed the family loved the message service WhatsApp and he said “a few of Zara’s cousins are on WhatsApp groups”.
British royals are rarely seen using a mobile phone, but it is believed the Queen carries one in her iconic handbag.
Royal biographer Penny Junor told the Daily Telegraph: “She does have a mobile and she speaks to her grandchildren on it.
“I don’t know whether it’s a smartphone though.”
While on tour in Australia, Meghan and Harry were both spotted carrying mobile phones.
The source also dismissed claims of a “raging feud” between the two duchesses, saying “there is no fighting going on between Kate and Meghan”.
They added: “The ‘feud’ is definitely being played up.
“Are they the best of friends? No.
“Do they speak every waking second? No.
“Do they hate each other? Absolutely not.”
For weeks, rumours have stated that royal sister-in-laws Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were “feuding” leaving the newly minted Duchess of Sussex and husband Prince Harry to flee Kensington Palace in favour of Windsor’s Frogmore House.
The Sun reported a Kensington Palace spokesperson as responding to said rumours.
The outlet quoted a source as saying that Kate and Meghan had an “explosive row” before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal wedding in May.
According to the newspaper, Kate allegedly told Meghan not to berate members of her team, saying, “That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them.”
“This never happened,” The Sun quoted a Kensington Palace spokesman as saying, in response to the argument claims.
The source had also told The Sun, “It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach.”
