The Duchess of Sussex’s father has branded her a “control freak”, but claims her alleged “acting up” is new.
Thomas Markle Sr., who is estranged from his daughter Meghan, has claimed she was always “demanding” but admits he is confused by recent reports of her alleged “difficult” behaviour.
Mr Markle’s claims follow reports that Meghan and sister-in-law Kate Middleton are “not getting along.”

The 74-year-old told the Mail on Sunday: “The Meghan I know was always sweet, kind, generous.
“She was always demanding but never rude. I no longer recognise this person.”

Rumours of a feud between the royals were further ignited over the weekend when Prince William and Kate Middleton skipped a board meeting of the Royal Foundation attended by Meghan and Prince Harry.
Reports claim that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were a no show at the meeting and did not attend the Christmas party afterwards.
An insider revealed to the Daily Mail it “was a shame” they were not at the meeting or party. The source also said: “Not only were Harry and Meghan there, but they went to the staff Christmas party afterwards.”
“It was a very jolly affair. It’s a shame that William and Catherine did not turn up.”

Adding fuel to the fire, he Duchess of Sussex has reportedly lost another top advisor amid claims she’s “difficult.”
Samantha Cohen has served the Royal Family for 17 years.
First, Australian-born Cohen was the assistant private secretary to Queen Elizabeth II and then the personal secretary for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
However, Cohen will leave that role in the coming months, fuelling rumours the Duchess is “difficult to work with.”
“Sam will be a huge loss,” a palace insider told The Times.
“Going forward, Meghan might need someone cut from a slightly different cloth to traditional courtiers, who is not a career civil servant or royal insider.”
A royal source added: “Samantha will assist the couple with finding her replacement in the new year.”
