With Meghan Markle set to welcome her first child with Prince Harry later this month, excitement for the new arrival is growing.
Royal fans are more eager than ever to catch that first glimpse of the new bub on the steps of the hospital.
Of course, Meghan has been known to buck a few royal traditions in the past and according to Royal expert and commentator Angela Mollard, the duchess may ditch tradition and opt not to step out on the hospital steps following the birth of her new bub.

“I think Meghan will make this [birth] quite different in some ways,” Angela tells the podcast New Idea Royals.
“I don’t think we will necessarily see her step out on the steps immediately after she gives birth.”
Meghan’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton appeared on the steps of the Lindo Wing just hours after welcoming all three of her children looking immaculate, but Angela thinks that Meghan may opt to follow in Pippa Middleton’s footsteps instead.
“Interestingly, I’m not sure if it has been confirmed – but Pippa Middleton didn’t leave the hospital for many days after the birth,” she says.

While fans will be devastated not to get a glimpse of the bub right away, Meghan and Harry will no doubt want to spend their first moments of parenthood privately.
“I do think we will see a huge difference with the way Meghan handles and approaches this I think she will be the sort of woman that turns inwardly,” Angela adds.
“Kate as we know was very dutiful and stood out on the steps, she showed the world her babies because they are, and George particularly, heir to the throne.”
